June 25-26 conference will consider impacts of mobile technologies
What do the increasing use of cell phones, iPods and other mobile technolgies mean for our sense of place, face to face communication, and community?
A two-day conference at The Ohio State University will tackle these and related issues.
"Communicative Cities: Integrating Technology and Place" is sponsored by The Battelle Endowment for Technological Affairs and hosted by City and Regional Planning.
International experts will discuss how mobile technologies affect fields such as planning, public policy, design, law and journalism.
Planners, designers, city officials, policy-makers, communications professionals, social scientists, techies, and citizens should gain valuable insights from this conference. CM credits expected.
